Meet the Members of our Team!

Megan Lenzzo
Executive Director

Serving youth at the Club since June 2015
Megan is the second Executive Director at the Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club since the facility opened at 72 Grand Street in 1995. Since the age of 6, Megan attended the Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club with her two sisters daily. The Club was her second home throughout her childhood. After college, Megan spent two years of service with AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) and AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America), where she led dozens of young adults and community members to further engage in a variety of community projects. After AmeriCorps, Megan worked full-time for the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden and the Boys & Girls Club of Milford. In June of 2015, she began working at the Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club as the Program Director and became the Executive Director in May 2016. Megan attended the University of Hartford and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations & Advertising.

Chris Bacote
Program Director

Serving youth at the Club since June 2016
Chris began going to the Boys and Girls Club of Meriden at the age of 7. After first enrolling in the CUNO basketball league, Chris became hooked to the club and was a frequent member. Chris went on to serve as a Junior Counselor while in high school, before attending the University of New Haven. After graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Chris began his career with kids as a Kids Fitness Instructor at My Gym Children’s Fitness Center. After My Gym, Chris continued working with youth in various positions at the Wallingford Family YMCA. Now as the Program Director at the Ulbrich Boys and Girls Club, Chris has found a deeper passion for impacting youth’s lives through character and leadership programs.

Martha Butterworth
Administrative Assistant

Serving youth at the Club since 2009
Martha has enjoyed serving Wallingford’s youth for over 8 years at the Club. One of her favorite things about the Club is seeing kids and staff from different cultures and backgrounds working and playing together on a level playing field. Martha works full time at North Haven Middle School, where she is in charge of technology. Some of her prior jobs include Insurance Rate Analyst, Web Design Project Director, Sunday School teacher and Flight Attendant.  She is married to husband Mark and has a son named Andrew. Martha grew up in West Hartford and received a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Connecticut. In her free time, Martha enjoys sketching, gardening, and photography.

Dave Hardy
Program Specialist - Teen & Sports Recreation

Serving youth at the Club since 2016
In May 2014, David graduated from Naugatuck Valley Community College with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts. As of May 2016, David graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Leisure Management. While studying at Eastern, David held an internship with Eastern's intramural department running the day-to-day game operations. When David is not at the Club, he enjoys golfing and going to the beach.

Rachael Porto
Program Specialist - Arts & Community Outreach

Serving youth at the Club since August 2015
Rachael started interning at the Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club in August 2015 while studying Human Services at Middlesex Community College. After 9 months of interning with the Club, Rachael became a part of the staff in May 2016. In May, she graduated from Middlesex Community College with an associate’s degree in Human Services. Currently, Rachael attends Central Connecticut State University, studying Social Work. Before the Club, she was a babysitter for a family with 3 kids for a total of 4 years. When Rachael is not at the Club, college, or her second job at Party City, she enjoys reading and shopping.

Jeisha Alvarado
Youth Development Professional

Serving youth at the Club since September 2015
Before joining the club staff, Jeisha volunteered 392 hours of community service at the Club. Jeisha is currently a senior year at Mark T. Sheehan High School. In May of 2016, Jeisha was titled the Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club’s “Youth of the Year.” Jeisha was, also, recognized by the Coalition for a Better Wallingford as a Champion of Youth. She plans on attending Southern Connecticut State University, majoring in Art for Graphic Design. In her free time, she likes to spend time with family and enjoy nature.

Jarelyn Sandoval
Youth Development Professional

Serving youth at the Club since 2015
Jarelyn started volunteering at the Ulbrich Boys and Girls club in June 2015 for about 7 months. After a few months of volunteering at the club, Jarelyn became a staff member in June 2016. Jarelyn is currently a senior at Sheehan High School and plans to attend Southern to get her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Jarelyn has worked with children since she was 12 by babysitting many family members. During Jarelyn’s free time she enjoys to bake, cook and run.
